WHAT DOES "SEA TO STARS" MEAN?

The first settlers to arrive in the "new world" arrived by sea at a strategic defensive location in present-day Hampton that they named Point Comfort. On July 9, 1610 some of the English colonists settled on the site of a Kecoughtan Indian village and this marks the date of the first continuously occupied English-speaking settlement in America. Hampton is the founding site for the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). The agency trained the first Americans to fly into space-the Mercury Seven astronauts-at NASA facilities in Hampton. There you have it: First from the sea...first to the stars!
