Hampton Block Party: Bob Ross Paint Night Be a part of the Peninsula's largest outdoor Paint Night during the Hampton Block Party on Saturday, July 7th from 6-8 pm. Tickets are $40 each and includes all your supplies, a drink ticket and certified instructor Kim Splain, CRI who will be teaching the famous Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique©. You'll create your own "happy clouds & happy trees" and it's "scandalously easy, trust me!"; Joan from Bob Ross Foundation. Prizes for "best dressed Bob Ross" and trivia questions throughout the night! If space available, you will be able to purchase at the door for $45. Southeastern Guns & Knives Show (Jul 14-15)Southeastern Guns and Knives is an organized and legal gun show event that promotes understanding of the shooting sports, appreciation of American history, and an opportunity to view historic and contemporary weapons. A variety of people, from professionals to blue-collar workers, attend gun shows. Gun show patrons attend the shows as collectors, hobbyists, sportsmen, and hunters; many also attend because they are interested in home defense. 14 | Hampton Block Party: Rolling of the Bulls

Hampton Block Party: Rolling of the Bulls Inspired by the Running of the Bulls events that takes place in Spain, Portugal, and some parts of Mexico where festival goers run with the bulls, the ROLLING of the Bulls in Hampton will feature participants running from Dominion Roller Derby Girls and other local leagues armed with horns and wiffle bats. The event begins with the Blessing of the Bulls and then the .5 mile run starts. Each runner MUST wear white (so the ladies know exactly who to hit!) and creativity is highly suggested. Stick around after the event and enjoy the Hampton Block Party and you'll even see us working the beer tents! 3:00pm-6:00pm Deck Pre-party 5:45pm- 6:30pm Run Registration (free) 6:40pm Blessing of the Bulls & Run Begins 6:50pm Bull Fight 7:00pm Tomatina (water balloon fight with red food dye instead of tomatoes!) $0 to run, $15 for the pre-party and $25 for the pre-party and get a swag bag. 21 | 2018 Wacky Olympics

2018 Wacky Olympics Bay Days Foundation proudly presents the 2018 Wacky Olympics, formerly known as The Freaky Kon-Tiki. Teams of 5 will use recycled and non-marine material to build a raft and race down the waters next to Mill Creek Park. Teams will have 2 hours to construct their raft on site. For more information on the race, please visit our site. Other events include a cornhole toss, a clothes pin drop, tricycle race, balloon toss, and a hula hoop contest. Gather your friends and enjoy a day supporting the Bay Days Foundation! Race is limited to 25 teams of 6 people. $10 registration fee per person.

Hampton Heat 200On Saturday, July 21, Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway will host the Hampton Heat 200. A Meet-and-Greet Session with the drivers will take place 6:15 p.m. – 6:50 p.m. Racing for the Badolero’s, Legends, Pro-Six, and Grand Stocks will begin at 7:00 p.m. Regular admission fees for the Hampton Heat 200 event are $12.00 Adults, $10.00 Military (Active or Retired) and Senior Citizens (60 & Over), $5 children ages 6-12, and free for children age 5 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased in the Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway office Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (at the gate) or at www.langley-speedway.com. Hampton Heat is one of the speedway’s largest races, drawing more drivers and crowds than all others held at the historic track. While the event’s purse of $10,000 is a big draw, the chance to compete on the track where racing greats Darrell Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Denny Hamlin began their careers, lures drivers from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

28 | Downtown Hampton Block Party- The Waiter’s Race

Downtown Hampton Block Party- The Waiter’s Race On Saturday, July 28, at 2:00 p.m., head to Downtown Hampton for the Waiters Race, presented by Sysco. Foodservice professionals will race through a series of obstacles holding a loaded tray of Stella Artois while trying not to spill a drop. In addition, there are cash prizes for the Men’s/Women’s Divisions (first place-$1000, second place-$500, third place-$250), a four-person Team Division (first place-$1200, second place-$600, third place-$400), and the Owners Division will win a traveling trophy (heavyweight championship belt!!). All participants must bring a current pay stub as proof of employment in a restaurant. Cost to participate is $10.00 in advance and $15.00 the day of event. The event is free for spectators. All registration fees will be donated to No Kid Hungry.
