Getting to Hampton is a Breeze

Easily accessible from I-64 and I-664, Hampton is within a day's drive or less for two-thirds of the East Coast's population.

Intersected by Interstates 64 and 664, Hampton is located in the geographic center of the Hampton Roads area approximately a 3-hour drive south of Washington, D.C. and 30 miles from both Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. To reach the Hampton Visitor from I-64, take Exit 267 to downtown Hampton, following Settlers Landing Road. Turn right on Merchants Lane, Visitor Center is located where Merchants Lane meets Old Hampton Lane.

By Car

Heading East on I-64 (from Richmond):

Take Exit 267 (Woodland Road) and turn left at the end of the ramp. Continue approximately 3/4 mile, crossing over the Booker T. Washington Memorial Bridge to Settlers Landing Road. Turn right on Merchant Lane to the Hampton Visitor Center

Heading West on I-64(From Norfolk):

Take Exit 267 (Settlers Landing Road) and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Settlers Landing Road. Continue approximately 1/2 mile, crossing over the Booker T. Washington Memorial Bridge to Settlers Landing Road. Turn right on Merchant Lane to the Hampton Visitor Center.

Heading East on I-664 (from Suffolk/Portsmouth):

Merge right onto I-64 East. Take Exit 267 (Settlers Landing Road) and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Settlers Landing Road. Continue approximately 1/2 mile, crossing over the Booker T. Washington Memorial Bridge to Settlers Landing Road. Turn right on Merchant Lane to the Hampton Visitor Center.
