We are excited to announce the Fall premiere of the Hampton University Museum’s Lift Every Voice series. This upcoming session will feature an exciting exploration of the work of iconic artist, Jacob Lawrence. Join us on October 1st, 2021 at 1:00pm as we engage in an open-discussion and learn about the artist’s journey from imaginative student of the Harlem Renaissance to him becoming one of the most prolific American artists of all time. By looking at different series in the Hampton University Museum’s collection, participants will get a chance to explore the ways Jacob Lawrence used his artistic vision to reflect on the past, present, and prepare us for the future.
