There is so much to see and do when you visit Fort Monroe. Take a trip back in time as you discover over 400 years of Hampton history at Fort Monroe National Monument. The largest stone fort in America, you will have to reserve several hours to explore the whole fort, Casemate Museum, and the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center.

Set aside a day, and visit the museums in Hampton. With over 400 years of history, there is so much to explore. Hampton History Museum, Fort Monroe Visitors Education Center, Hampton University Museum, and the Virginia Air and Space Science Center are great indoor options. Beaches

Visiting in the winter, spring, summer, or fall? The beach may look different from season to season, but there is still so much to do. Public beaches in Hampton include Buckroe Beach, Outlook Beach at Fort Monroe, and Grandview Nature Preserve. 

Bluebird Gap Farm

Open year-round, Bluebird Gap Farm is home to over 100 animals. Pigs, cows, horses, peacocks, and more animals are patiently waiting to greet you. With free admission, it is the perfect attraction for the whole family to spend a few hours. 

Sandy Bottom Nature Park

With 11 miles of trails, this park is the perfect location to spend a few hours with nature. The trails include soft surfaces, wildlife, water views, and beautiful scenery. 

They also offer seasonal kayak, paddleboat, and campsites rentals.
