Experience the beauty and wonder of exotic places as over thirty countries and cultures showcase their unique heritages. The event occurs the third Saturday each April in downtown Hampton. Enjoy traditional music, dance and storytelling and other performances and presentations that will take place throughout the day. There will be hands-on family activities, cultural displays and demonstrations, glassblowing, blacksmithing, wool spinning, food, heritage arts & crafts, and more. It's all designed to honor those who came before us.

Once a year visitors from all over the country enjoy the sights and sounds of 18th century Hampton overrun by pirates. Hampton's waterfront comes alive with dozens of pirate re-enactors, costumed in historically accurate garb, who transform today's Hampton into the busy seaport of yesterday. Led by Blackbeard the Pirate himself, re-enactors help visitors step back in time and re-live the history and legends of 1718 Hampton. Meet British Redcoats and Patriots and learn about camp life as they prepare themselves for conflict. The Battle of Hampton, which occurred on October 26-27, 1775, marked the beginning of revolutionary warfare in Virginia. Six months had passed since the battles of Lexington and Concord, but blood was not shed in Virginia until fighting started between Virginia patriots and forces aligned with Britain.
